Alright, you’ve been looking for some easy and legit ways to make money online and stumbled upon ySense. Or you’ve heard of them before but just getting around and want to do some research. Either way, you have landed on our ySense review page. I’ve been in the same place before too, trying to make money online from home but not sure what’s legit and what’s a scam.
ySense Legit or Scam Review 2023
So, is ySense legit or a scam? Can you really get paid for doing online surveys, cash offers, simple tasks and doing small tasks?
You may be familiar with ySense if you’ve made money online before. ySense was previously known as ClixSense and if that’s ringing a bell, it’s because ClixSense was once a popular GPT – get-paid-to site where you could earn cash and rewards for completing small tasks online.
In this ySense review I’ll discuss ySense and what they do, who ysense are and how you can make money with them. Yes, of course, I’ll go over whether or not they’re a scam or legit.
The specific topics I’m going to cover are:
- What is ySense?
- Is ySense a Scam?
- How Does ySense Work?
- ySense Reviews and Complaints
- What is Good About ySense?
- What I don’t about ySense?
- Where Do You Go From Here?
What Is ySense?
ySense Formerly known as ClixSense. ySense is a GPT or Get Paid To money earning site, or GPT site. They pay you to do small tasks online and are also referred to as rewards websites for a long time.
ySense is a global site or company and they support market researchers from all over the world. They also cater to a worldwide membership platform, therefore, people from different countries around the world are welcome to join ySense site.
Product Research and Market research has long been considered an important business. Businesses succeed or fail based on how well they know their clients or customers, also what their customers really want.
A lot of companies go bankrupt because they “think and decide” they know what their customers want, however, it is completely wrong. If they had done their market research, they might have learned a thing or two.
Hence, consumers have tremendous power, knowledge and experience which is why it’s critical for companies to fully understand and analyze their needs and desires. One way of getting that information is simply by asking others.
What are their customers’ ideas, needs, thoughts and opinions?
Through you as a consumer and participant of ySense platform, companies have the opportunity to learn what you really want. And they’ll pay you for that information that you shared with them.
Is ySense a Scam?
You can barely turn your smartphone on or your computer these days without getting hit by a scam.
So it’s only fair to ask if ySense is a legit or scam site, it’s really making money online. Are they not all legit or scams?
Not all of them.
ClixSense has been around in the market since 2007, which is quite a long time, especially in the online market or world and they were known as PTC sites (Paid-To-Click) before being re-branded as ySense in the year of 2019.
ySense recently removed their PTC jobs or services and ySense is now mostly known for their online surveys. Although they have other online services and features which we’ll talk more about in the succeeding sections.
ySense is completely new though, so we weren’t able to find much of an online social presence yet however, they were well known when they were ClixSense. They do have a FB – Facebook page which was created on 14th, September, 2019.
ySense is part of the Prodege, LLC family of companies though – and they’re a big outfit based in El Segundo, California, United States.
Prodege is on LinkedIn with a couple thousand followers and owns other legit brands including SwagBucks.
With both ClixSense and Prodege LLC being legit, it’s safe to say ySense is a legit site to join. ySense is definitely not a scam.
Having said that, we did read some ySense reviews from others claiming ySense was a scam (and this is usually because some people get disqualified from completing surveys on this site).
we’ll discuss more about that below however this is one reason it’s a good idea when doing surveys to join other sites as well. Not all ySense surveys will be suitable to your situation but during those times another website might have some good ones available for you.
Survey sites like surveyjunkie.com and inboxdollars.com are good options if you want.
Of course, sites like ySense won’t make you really rich, however they’re an easy way to get started online. They can also be a stepping stone to something more serious like an online job or business.
How Does ySense Work?
Answering paid surveys and getting paid to do tasks online is a simple way of earning a few extra bucks online. Platforms like ySense allow ordinary people to work from home without any registration fee or anywhere else they choose – as long as they have a computer, mobile phone and internet connection.
You’ll get cash rewards for the paid surveys and tasks you complete on ySense. It’s a pretty simple process however here are the steps to follow when joining and making money on their ysense platform.
Simple Steps to Signing Up and Making Money with ySense
It’s easy to join ySense – just follow these simple steps:
1. Enter your email and your password and click on the Join Now button on their official ySense site.
2. Once you’re in, they’ll ask you to complete your registration by verifying your email.
3. Complete your Profile section. Remember, it’s very important to be honest and accurate so they can match you with relevant surveys.
4. Read the FAQs section on their help page and go through the topics on their forum. (Optional).
5. Start answering survey questions and completing tasks and offers.
6. Earn money or rewards are accumulated in your ySense account.
7. Cash out your money.
Ways of Making Money with ySense
Unlike some other survey sites, ySense provides several ways of making money from home.
1. Complete / Answer Surveys
Your survey Profile is the key that will contain your location, age, gender, and other information. These will be used in determining which survey jobs are suitable for you.
You’ll find all available surveys on your account dashboard section when you log into the site. And you can click on the particular survey links if you’re interested in them.
Remember, each survey has qualifying questions in ysense and sometimes you’ll get disqualified before finishing the entirety of the survey job. If so, you won’t get paid for it.
This is why it’s really important to be honest and accurate with your profile. The better match you are for a particular survey, the less likely you will be disqualified from that survey.
Generally, being disqualified doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong with ySense (however, don’t click answers randomly or deliberately lie. What it means is that you don’t belong to the demographic of consumers, not related to the products that particular survey requires.
For example, a company selling washing powder is not going to pay IT employees for their opinion.
2. GPT – Get-Paid-To Complete Offers
GPT or Get-paid-to offers can include testing products and services, watching videos, email reading, signing up to sites, downloading apps, and more.
You’ll see the available offers on your account page / dashboard and you can click on the links to open them and see the details. You can complete as many offers and survey programs as you want as long as you qualify for them. As for the pay, it varies per task to task. There are no standard rates for survey programs. However, in general, it can be a few cents to a few dollars for completing simple tasks.
The rate or reward will depend on the company and type of survey. Generic surveys with large audiences usually pay less money or award, whereas specialized surveys in a relatively small industry pay higher to its members.
For example… A medical equipment supply company conducting research would be looking for medical professionals which is a relatively small and specialized field. Those types of paid surveys will pay high because few people can qualify.
On the other hand, if it’s a generic simple survey that anyone between the ages of 18 and 80 who lives on this world and breathes can qualify for, the rate is likely to be very, very low.
3. Complete Tasks
Referred to as micro tasks, you’ll find these simple and small jobs and their instructions / details on your account page. These are things like making searches, browsing the web in Google and categorising images.
While some tasks can be done very often or repeatedly and you can therefore also earn repeatedly doing the same work, some online tasks can only be done once or twice. You’ll get notifications if you’re no longer allowed to perform certain activities and tasks.
There will also be some instances when you’ll be required to go through some form of training before you’re qualified to complete a simple task. For some of these small jobs, ySense site will evaluate and confirm you are qualified first.
Again, it’s very hard to say how much you’ll be earning per completed task because it depends on how difficult and tough the job is, how many people are available or skilled to do it, etc. However, you can expect a few cents to a couple of dollars per completed survey or task.
What we like about doing ySense surveys or tasks is that they’ll give you a $5 bonus for every $50 worth of completed tasks. The best part is, you can also earn extra money through ySense Weekly Contests and Daily Checklist Bonus.
Tasks Weekly Contests
ySense rewards its members weekly through contests and these run starting from Monday to Sunday every week. They reward their Top 10 Tasks workers or members in the following manner:
- Top 1 – $50
- Top 2 – $20
- Top 3 – 10
- Top 4 – $5
- Top 5 – $5
- Top 6 – $2
- Top 7 – $2
- Top 8 – $2
- Top 9 – $2
- Top 10 – $2
As you can see, ySense platform is giving away a total of $100 per week to their contest winners. If you’re one of the Top 10 winners in this contest, you’ll get your winnings around midnight of that Sunday.
Daily Checklist Bonus
You can use ySense’s Daily Checklist option or feature as your guide in accomplishing goals and tasks on their site. ySense bonus can also serve as inspiration in staying active on their site and therefore make more money from this platform.
You can earn up to 16% of your daily earnings added to your account when you complete their checklist. This will work like this,
- Daily Checklist Bonus – 12%
- ySense Addon Extra Bonus – 2%
- Activity Extra Bonus – 2%
As you can see, it’s really possible to get all the bonuses and end up with a total of 16% added earnings.
Please make a note. Your ySense bonuses is based on your personal earnings for the day. Your other bonuses include earnings from your referrals which is another way you can make money with YSense.
4. ySense Referral Program
You can also earn money from ySense as an affiliate. They will provide you with a unique link which is called an affiliate link and ySense promotional banners so that you can promote their site and share your referral links to other people.
These earnings include both signup and activity commissions in ySense.
Signup Commissions
You can easily earn 10 cents to 30 cents per active referral who signs up using your link, however, this stipulation is for select countries only which are called Top Tier Countries. It also comes with some conditions that your referral must be an active member.
ySense platform considers top tier countries to be those listed here.
When your referrals make their first earnings i.e, $5 on the ySense which does not include their bonuses and commissions, you’ll also get a $2 bonus from them. But their earnings will not be affected.
Activity Commissions
As an affiliate in ySense, you’ll also earn 20% of what your referrals earn per completed survey, offer, cash offers or task. Note that this won’t affect your referrals’ earnings in any way because ySense will be the one to pay you your commissions.
ySense looks at this as a marketing cost for doing their business effectively. The don’t deduct it from the money your referrals earn. And it gets even better when you have 100 active referrals by you in 30 days because you’ll move into the 25% commission bracket (mode).
Then, if you have 200 active referrals under you (again in 30 days), your commission rate will increase to 30%.
Remember, having ySense active referrals will increase your earnings considerably.

How Much Money Can You Make with ySense?
As mentioned above, it’s very hard to say how much you can earn with ySense . However, there are many factors to consider like the number of hours you spend on ySense platform, your number of active referrals, how many tasks complete, when those tasks are offered and how many people there are available to perform those online tasks, the type offers available, and so on.
Your demographic is the key and this is also a factor. For example, if ySense is getting a lot of tasks or work from clients who sell or manufacture baby related products, there are going to be more surveys for parents than there will for people who don’t have kids.
If you promote the ySense platform and earn referral commissions, part of your income will depend on how active they are on ySense, and what demographic they belong to. Of course, the more active you are, the more opportunities to make more money.
In fact, when it comes to survey sites online, it’s really a good idea to join several sites.
When one doesn’t have any surveys, offers or tasks for you to complete, another one might and vice-versa.
Survey Junkie and Inbox Dollars which is owned and operated by the same people who own ySense are some other great options.
For something very significant, an online income that may one day replace your current job for example, an online business may be what you’re looking for actually.
Making money online from home without investment or registration fee might be something you really need because of medical issues, children to look after, or maybe you’re just tired of working for a boss.
If this is the case, knowing how and where to get started is what you need in order to get what you want actually.
ySense has age restrictions as follows:
- You must be at least 13 years old if you live in the United States.
- You must be at least 16 years old if you live in all other countries.
- ySense also said on their website they have the right to deactivate ySense accounts when their age requirements are not followed.
Reasons for Deactivation of ySense Accounts
Aside from the ySense age restrictions, the following also lead to the closure of your ySense account:
- If you have more than one account with ySense (however, each member of your household is allowed to have a ySense account).
- When ySense discovers unnatural clicking and searching from your end.
- If you commit fraud by using bots, apps, software, etc. to manipulate their system.
- If you violate their policy, terms of use.
- When you encourage and teach others to violate their terms.
- When you make inappropriate remarks or activities on their social media accounts.

You can actually cash out from ySense anytime twice a day. ySense Reviews 2023 and Complaints
Below are the ySense review on the internet.
However, since ySense were originally ClixSense and owned by Prodege LLC, we can get an idea of what to expect actually.
ySense Reviews on BBB
ClixSense is not accredited at the Better Business Bureau – BBB, however they do have an A rating. There were some minor complaints however, not many for the number of years and most were answered and resolved by the company.
This is an extremely good and positive sign because there are countless companies trying to do what ySense site (and Prodege) are doing but never take the time to deal with many complaints.
Of course ClixSense is not exactly ySense however, there may be some significant changes with management, process and staff, but the BBB rating provided to ClixSense is really a good starting point.
With an overall rating on the internet of 4.2 out of 5, we mostly found positive reviews about ySense platform like the ones below:
- ySense is a better and improved version of ClixSense.
- ySense is a great online earning site.
- You can use the ySense site to earn from home.
ySense Reviews on Trustpilot
We also found some positive and negative ysense reviews on Trustpilot. ySense has a 2.6 out of 5 rating there, which is unfortunately not good however not a reason to jump to conclusions either.
A change in management may lead to a little temporary turmoil so we’ll see how those ysense reviews play out.
ySense positive reviews on Trustpilot.
- ySense processes payments within 5 days.
- There’s a PayPal option now in ySense.
- Their customer support team responds and replies to emails.
Here are the complaints or negative reviews about ySense we found:
- Pay is low.
- It is a waste of time because it’s hard to qualify for more surveys.
The overall review about ySense we got from reading the reviews on Trustpilot is that ClixSense was better than ySense, which is the opposite of what Facebook reviewers said about this.
Hence, what about your opinion if you join ySense will be valuable as well.
What is Good About ySense?
ySense site is offering a lot of earning opportunities especially if you’re an active member.
ySense free to join.
Yes, ySense is legit and part of a network of similar sites link InboxDollars that have good reputations.
What I Don’t Like!
Some people say ClixSense was better than ySense however, that could just be a few who are not happy about the change made.
It’s really very hard to make a full-time income with survey sites like ySense.
We found a lot of complaints and some negative comments about how difficult it is to qualify for their surveys, which is not at all uncommon for sites like these.
Some people are saying that ySense is a scam and if you’re continually getting disqualified from surveys, it’s easy to understand why, right?.
Again, this is common among most online survey sites as they must qualify the right demographic and determine that people are not just randomly clicking survey answers while watching TV or using a bot.
Unfortunately their algorithms, process in determining these things are not perfect and a lot of people get frustrated. As a result, you get some upset ySense members who label them ySense is a scam, understandably but frustrated or not, that doesn’t mean ySense is a scam site.
Where Do You Go From Now?
Personally, I believe ySense is really worth a shot. ySense is 100% free to join and you don’t have anything to pay or to lose except some time you might otherwise spend on social media or watching Netflix.
It is really important to know though, that your earning potential with something like ySense platform is not guaranteed. Sites like ySense are definitely worth trying, however, only if you’re not expecting a full time income from them.
You can certainly earn money with online survey sites provided they’re legit and many of them are flat out scams and if you’ve never made online money before they’re a great way to get started.
In addition to the ySense site, Survey Junkie and the Prodege LLC owned Inbox Dollars are two others you might find worthwhile.
Of course, you won’t get rich with survey sites however they can lead to bigger things down the road, like an online business such as which does have the potential of being a full-time income.
You might be looking for an online job, or a student in school or a single parent at home. You may have health challenges that make regular work really difficult, or maybe you just hate your current job and you’re desperate for a way out.
With all the scams and schemes out there, knowing how and where to get started the right way is what you need in order to get what you actually want.
I hope my ySense review has been really helpful and if you have any comments, questions, queries or experience with the ySense survey, please share your opinion in the comments section below.
We’d love to have your comments and opinions and it’ll be really valuable for other readers who are interested in ySense.
